Solar Ambassadors

Arizonans who have already installed solar technology are the best advocates for going solar. That’s why we work with Solar Ambassadors across the state. We want to tap into your experience, enthusiasm and knowledge, advancing solar in Arizona with the help of those who know its benefits best!

Become a Solar Ambassador

If you have already installed solar and would like to join a social network of people just like you – who care about solar power and want to encourage their friends and neighbors to do the same – sign up to be a Solar Ambassador. Solar Ambassadors can:

  • Share their stories, photos and videos.
  • Network with other solar customers in their area.
  • Receive our solar e-newsletter to keep up with the latest news about solar power in Arizona.
  • Buddy up with solar prospects who need help navigating the solar installation process.

Your level of involvement is up to you. But you’ll be playing a big part in making Arizona the solar capital of the United States. Sign up today!

Referral Fees

As a neutral non-profit organization, Arizona SmartPower does not recommend specific installers in our outreach. Instead, we recommend that customers use only APS Qualified Installers, and that customers get quotes from three or more companies before choosing an installer.

As is common practice, many installers offer referral fees to customers who recommend friends. Arizona SmartPower does not want to interfere with that transactional relationship. However, it is important that if you recommend a specific installer to a friend or neighbor, you do not act as a Solar Ambassador in that transaction. This does not preclude you from participating in our program, engaging with your friends and neighbors in Arizona SmartPower's solar activities, and being an active Solar Ambassador.

But it does mean that Arizona SmartPower's Solar Ambassadors do not receive any fees for their volunteer work. As a neutral non-profit organization, Arizona SmartPower does not recommend specific installers in our outreach.
